This Offmap hiking trip is built around village life, slow trails, mountain food, clear night skies, and quiet movement through forests and meadows. You stay inside a remote Himalayan village in a traditional mud-house, eat home-made valley food, hike on non-aggressive mountain trails, and spend your nights around bonfires and stargazing.
Unlike fast-paced trekking trips, this journey is about slowing down inside the Himalayas — through art, walking, river time, sunsets, and shared village spaces. With small groups, local guides, and safe beginner-friendly trails, this is a perfect first hiking experience wrapped inside a deep village stay.
You leave Delhi late evening, trading city lights for mountain darkness. As the highway stretches into silence, phones drop, conversations soften, and the idea of time begins to loosen. By morning, the Himalayas feel closer - not just in distance, but in mood.
You reach Rajgundha Valley by noon and settle into your Offmap Himalayan mud-house stay - warm rooms, open courtyards, mountain air, and wide valley views.
After rest and lunch, the trip opens gently with a 2-hour Art & Recreation Session.
This space is for:
drawing
journaling
free art
quiet creativity
slowing your mind into the mountains
No performance. No pressure. Just switching off from fast living.
By evening, you walk up to Chaihna Top - one of the most beautiful and open sunset points in the region. The valley turns gold, shadows stretch across ridges, and the light fades slowly.
Night returns to the village with:
home-made local dinner
bonfire & quiet conversations
and your first deep stargazing experience in Rajgundha.
Day two is built around walking at your own pace. Travellers can choose between two beautiful, safe Himalayan trails:
Distance: ~6-7 km
Duration: 4-5 hours (slow pace)
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Terrain: Open meadows, forests, village paths
Experience: Long walking sections through untouched greenery, perfect for first-time hikers
Distance: ~7-8 km
Duration: 5-6 hours
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Terrain: Gradual climbs, open ridges
Experience: A full 360-degree Himalayan view with Dhauladhar ranges around you the entire time
Both trails are:
Non-aggressive
Safe for beginners
Supported by local mountain guides & Offmap trip captains
Walked at a slow, comfort-first pace
Lunch is carried and enjoyed as a mountain picnic, not rushed.
By evening, everyone returns to the village - tired in the legs, calm in the head.
Dinner is again home-cooked valley food.
The night returns with another bonfire and one of the clearest night skies in India.
Morning breaks slow and soft. No alarms. No rush.
After checkout, you move into Barot Valley - where rivers widen and pine forests thicken.
The day flows through:
Kothi Kohal Waterfall
Barot village
Multhan village
Cold water, forest air, and everyday mountain life without performance.
By 4 PM, the return journey to Delhi begins.
You reach the city early next morning around 5 AM - physically tired, mentally lighter.
